Let’s get creative! Join us for a Cards Class for Kids on Monday, Nov. 12 from 3:30-5 p.m. Just in time for the holiday season, kids will be using a variety of stamps, stickers, pencils, ink pads, paper and so much more to make their own greeting cards! Every child will be making 4-6 cards to take home. There is a $22/student fee that covers all class supplies. The class will be held at GFW Public Schools, Gibbon. Registration closes Nov. 5.

This fall, we are offering several 55+ Driver Discount Programs! These are renewal classes for those that have already taken the eight-hour course. The next class offered will be on Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m -1 p.m at the GFW Elementary School in Gibbon.

Madalynn Swanson, Director of Financial Aid through Ridgewater, will present on FAFSA and will have dedicated time at the end of her presentation to assist with questions on completing the FAFSA.
If parents are requesting help completing their FAFSA, they must (student and contributor) have created their Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID at least 72 hours prior to FAFSA night, as their ID can take up to 72 hours to be 'verified'.

Sibley County Public Health is offering a flu shot clinic. The clinic will be at the Elementary Site for staff and students Monday November 3rd in the morning, then at the MS/HS in the afternoon. This is optional for staff and students. Forms have been sent home with all students to share the information with their parents.

Learn how to master the kitchen in our After-School Cooking classes this fall! No cooking experience is necessary to enjoy these tasty classes. Tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen, pour yourself a cup of ambition, and join us for a fun trip to celebrate all things Dolly as the Great Theatre Presents: 9 to 5! Join us on Thursday, Oct. 30 for lunch and a show!
We’ll begin with an included buffet lunch at the Coyote Moon Grille and then head for the St. Cloud Paramount Theatre for Great Theatre Presents 9 to 5. Full of catchy songs, hilarious antics, and a message about challenging the status quo, this high-energy show celebrates perseverance, camaraderie, and standing up for what’s right.
The cost is $110/person and includes transportation, your meal and the show ticket.
Transportation details: Bus will pick up in Fairfax at the old Middle School at 8:15 a.m., in Gibbon at 8:30 a.m. at the GFW School Building and in Winthrop at the MS/HS bus loop at 8:45 a.m.. The bus will return to Winthrop at approximately 5:45 p.m., Gibbon at 6 p.m. and Fairfax at 6:15 p.m.
