Congratulations to Paul Froemming who will be retiring after 36 years of service to GFW! We were honored to celebrate his dedication to our students, schools, and community.

We all know that a school is more than a school. It makes an impact on every person who is part of its history. Before the end of the school year at GFW Elementary School, every student and staff member left their mark.
We are thankful for everything so far and are so excited about what comes next!

Today was a bittersweet day at GFW Elementary School! Mr. Werner took a photo and shared some thoughts:
For over 80 years, these walls have held the laughter of children, the guidance of teachers, and the spirit of our communities growing together. PE Classes, holiday programs, talent shows, spelling bees, graduations, indoor recess on rainy days, school photos, sporting events, proms, and pep fest. Today, we gathered in this beloved space—not just to say goodbye to a building, but to honor the memories, milestones, and magic made within it. As we step into a new chapter, we carry the heart of this place with us!

We are excited to celebrate the GFW High School Class of 2025 at Graduation on Saturday, May 31!

All that is missing is the people!

After completing their Economics unit, the 5th graders in Ms. Wheatley's class took on a challenge. Each student became an entrepreneur, created a business, made their own product, and then sold the product to classmates. They learned about wants vs. needs, supply and demand, and budgeting their money. Great job!

Ms. Tuazon's class had a pizza party earlier this week to celebrate being the MyPath Superhero winners. It's a well deserved reward!

Check out the latest issue of the Winthrop News for a great tribute to the class of 2025, extra curricular all stars, and more!

Just a friendly reminder that the last day of school for all students is Friday, May 30 and will be an early release day. Thanks for a great school year!

Thursday, May 29 is the last day of school for seniors. Congratulations class of 2025!

Check out some of the student art that was on display earlier this month during the Variety Show. We have some seriously talented students!

Last week students in fifth grade got to visit GFW Middle School and High School to take a tour of the school, meet a few teachers, get information about what to expect, and learn about the PBIS behavior expectations and programs. We are excited to welcome these students in the fall!

The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony earlier this week welcomed new members and set officers for next year. Congratulations to all the hardworking students who are part of this group!
