Unofficial Election Results
The votes have been counted and the unofficial results show that voters in the GFW School District have approved both questions of the April 11 Building Bond Referendum. This means that the district will now be able to move forward with a centralized single-site PreK-12 facility.
According to Sibley County, the unofficial vote totals are:
Question 1 (7-12 facility): 1,356 Yes - 675 No
Question 2 (PreK-12 facility): 1,345 Yes - 680 No
We are thankful for our community for supporting the future of GFW Public Schools by voting to create a school environment that will serve and support all of our students!
We know not everyone voted the same way and that there is a need to continue to collaborate and communicate as we move along in this process. We look forward to continuing our commitment to serving everyone in our community! There will be more information to come.
The results will be canvassed by the GFW School Board at their April 17 meeting.
