Superintendent’s Report
Superintendent Berg shared information about the two ballot questions that the board ultimately approved. More information is available on the district website. He also shared updates about new buses coming into the district with plans to sell buses via a sealed bid auction. The Gibbon all school reunion committee held an event in the facility with 225 attendees. He also reminded the community there are just 43 days until the first day of school!
Principal Reports
Principal Thompson shared that the team is already busy getting ready for back to school with letters going out next week and planning taking place for staff welcome events and training. Summer school programming is taking place with a small group of students and there have been other activities taking place including a junior librarian program and fun summer rec activities. TCA is preparing for upcoming performances of Frozen with a lot of excitement building for the show.
Principal Jacobson shared that the MS/HS has completed interviews and hiring for the 2026-27 school year with great candidates selected. The student handbook was updated and will be shared with families after being approved by the board. Teacher evaluations are being completed with preparation taking place for goal setting ahead of the next school year with different staff development and other training that will be taking place in the fall.
