The unofficial results from the Nov. 3, 2026 election are in and voters have rejected both ballot questions for GFW Public Schools. A summary of results are below.

Winthrop Representative: Emilee Stehr
Thank you to everyone who participated in today's election. While GFW voters ultimately rejected both referendum questions, we respect the decision of our community and appreciate the conversations and engagement that took place throughout this process.
The needs identified through these proposals remain, and the district will continue evaluating how best to support technology, transportation, and curriculum within our existing financial resources. We will also work with the School Board to determine the most responsible next steps for our former school facilities.
We congratulate our newly elected School Board members representing Gibbon, Fairfax, and Winthrop and look forward to their leadership as we navigate the decisions ahead.
