We are putting the finishing touches on the next issue of the In Flight that will showcase all of these offerings and provide a glimpse into what is happening in our schools. Say hello and congratulations to the GFW Middle School students of the month for October who were recently celebrated! We are so proud of the way that students have gone above and beyond to make the school a great place to be this year.

Community Ed Class Alert: Christmas Cookie Class Date: December 5th - 5:30-7:30pm (register by Nov. 26th) Location: GFW MS/Highschool Kitchen Cost: $15/child Age 5+ (an adult must attend with a child and help but does not need to pay) Limit of 15 kids Learn how to make 3-4 different kinds of Christmas cookies. Each child will go home with a plate of a dozen Christmas cookies. Plus recipes for each of the cookies we make.

Community Ed Trip: Bells Will Be Ringin’ at the Ives Auditorium On Wednesday, Dec. 11, GFW Community Ed will be heading to the Ives Auditorium in Bloomington for a delicious holiday lunch and a festive show! Third grade students recently wrapped up their Human Body Systems unit by becoming doctors and getting certified in the six human body systems. Looks like a fun way to learn!

Don't miss the incredible production of Legally Blonde The Musical happening this weekend! Our talented students are hard at work preparing for the fall musical with rehearsals happening now! There will be three shows: Friday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and can be purchased in the office!

Let's hear it for our awesome bowlers who are headed to the state tournament! GFW Varsity will be competing on Saturday, Nov. 23 in the Minnesota High School Bowling Class A State Tournament at Park Grove Bowl starting at 10:15 a.m. Good luck bowlers!

Dean of Students at GFW Middle School and High School Ms. Wood wanted to give an extra shoutout to these students who really went above and beyond in creating a positive school culture. They are living the values of SOARS, which is Spirit, Optimistic, Accountable, Respectful, and Safe. Way to go guys!

ECFE Event Alert: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer The Stages Theatre Company classic is back to celebrate 60 years of the beloved Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! The GFW Pioneer Express FFA students that went to the national convention had a great time! They visited a cranberry farm, a honey farm, and much more! Check out the local papers or the district website tomorrow for more information .

Yesterday, students at GFW Middle School and High School attended a presentation by public speaker and musician Reggie Dabbs who had some powerful words of wisdom for students including "You can’t change your past, but you can change your future." It was a great treat for our students!
